With the explosion of AI and ChatGPT in the recent months, I decided to utilize ChatGPT to help me write about my pickup basketball experience in Atlanta. It should be noted that I wrote a first draft with details of my experience, and then I inputted it into ChatGPT to 'make it sound better'...
The below post what ChatGPT spat out

I found myself briefly in Atlanta, commonly known as Hotlanta, and embarked on a quest to find the perfect basketball court to showcase my skills.
Initially, I pondered the idea of a water court at the Georgia Aquarium, envisioning a game with Beluga whales. However, I quickly realized that wet courts were too treacherous and slippery for a competitive match.
Undeterred, I explored the possibility of a land court at Zoo Atlanta, contemplating a game amidst the towering Giraffes. Alas, their towering presence would likely result in them effortlessly dunking over me, extinguishing my basketball dreams.
Having exhausted my search on both land and water, I reluctantly turned my gaze to the skies, contemplating the prospect of joining the Hawks for a celestial game.

Central Park emerged as the ultimate choice, thanks to the myriad of basketball courts available throughout Atlanta. Although spoiled for choice, I ultimately settled on the Central Park basketball courts due to their affiliation with the Atlanta Hawks, as evidenced by a satellite view.
With four courts to choose from, I arrived at Central Park on a Thursday evening at 7 pm, fully expecting a vibrant basketball scene. As anticipated, the courts were abuzz with games ranging from full-court battles to casual shooting sessions. It was evident that this location had cemented its reputation as a popular destination for pickup basketball.
Lots of courts to choose from!
Without delay, I strategically positioned myself near a court where eight individuals engaged in a spirited half-court game, with another person patiently waiting to join. Anticipating the imminent transition to a full-court match, I joined their ranks, eager to showcase my skills.
The games adhered to the customary scoring system of 1's and 2's, with the objective of reaching 15 points. However, I couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment at the limited adoption of three-point shots. It seemed that most players on the court were acquainted with one another, likely part of a pre-existing group or a result of frequent encounters at the park. Their enthusiasm for the game was palpable, as they continued to play well into the night, even as I reluctantly departed.
The courts were generally well-maintained, though I remained uncertain whether the Atlanta Hawks court design was a temporary or permanent fixture. Rubber tiles had been placed over the traditional blacktop, and while a few tiles showed signs of wear near the edges, they did not affect the main playing areas. The rims, nets, and backboards were of excellent quality, befitting an outdoor court. Additionally, I noticed signs indicating an upcoming event to be hosted on these courts, possibly explaining their meticulous upkeep. Only time will reveal the court's future condition.
Good games
In conclusion, Central Park offered an abundance of courts catering to a diverse range of skill levels. I wholeheartedly recommend this location as an ideal starting point for aspiring players and a venue worthy of continued visits. Moreover, with repeated visits, one can forge lasting friendships within the basketball community.
